ELECTRIC AVENUE
“Moving Patterns” is a festival of electronic music presented by the Austrian Cultural Forum. Opening night is a performance by Austrian avant-garde pop musician Christian Fennesz, who plays minimalist electronica that retains the shape of pop songs. FRENCH FOCUS
The weekly music series “Midtown Concerts” presents a short afternoon concert by the new ensemble Point d’Arret, which specializes in the music of French Baroque era. The program features vocal pieces by Francois Couperin (1668-1733) and instrumental dance music by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687).
