LOVETT OR LEAVE IT Lyle Lovett and His Large Band bring their enduring fusion of rock and country to Summer-Stage. (Tonight, 7:30, Central Park, Fifth Avenue at 69th Street, 212-307-7171, $39.50). The next night, Jon Randall, who has played with Mr. Lovett, performs a set of acoustic songs from his upcoming album “Walking Among the Living.” (Tomorrow, 7 p.m., the Living Room, 154 Ludlow St., between Stanton and Rivington streets, 212-533-7235, free.)
HISTORIC TUNES The Bond Street Euterpean Singing Society presents a program of tunes and ballads from the 1800s. Named for Euterpe, the Greek muse of music, the a cappella ensemble performs dressed in early 19th-century costumes. The show is part of a weekly summer series of concerts held in the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum’s 18thcentury landscaped garden. The evening also includes a wine and cheese reception. CHAMBER IN THE PARK The Festival Chamber Ensemble, with David Oei on piano and Elizabeth Mann on flute, performs as part of the Washington Square Music Festival. YOUNG PRELUDE The Martina Arroyo Foundation kicks off its new young-artist series, Prelude to Performance, with an evening of opera. The program is conducted by Willie Anthony Waters. Upcoming in the series is a performance of Mozart’s evergreen “Nozze di Figaro” (Saturday, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2:30 p.m.).
