SING, SEU Brazilian guitarist and singer Seu Jorge, who sang David Bowie covers in lilting Portugeuse on the soundtrack to “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou,” performs downtown. FEMALE INFLUENCE Jazz at Lincoln Center presents the Women in Jazz Festival. Featured performances include pianist Marian McPartland (tomorrow), singer Rita Coolidge (Wednesday and Thursday), the Claudia Acuna Quartet (Tuesday and Wednesday, September 20 and 21), and the Helen Merrill Quartet (Tuesday, September 27). The series closes with the Karen Briggs Band and the Leanne Ledgerwood Trio (Sunday, October 2).
