SWAN SONG? “Traumatic soprano” Madame Vera Galupe-Borszkh performs her 20th annual farewell concert, presented by La Gran Scena Opera Company. Madame Vera performs works from her opera and song repertoire, along with new material and loopy diva anecdotes. The Dame Edna-esque act is performed by Ira Siff, who threatens that each year will be the last – this year, apparently, he means it. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 8 p.m., Symphony Space, Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, 212-864-5400, $32 general, $29 seniors, $28 members, $25 students and children.

KEY OF IMPROV Singer-pianist Patricia Barber performs an improvisational program of hard-swinging tunes. She’s accompanied by guitarist Neal Alger, bassist Michael Arnopol, and drummer Eric Montzka. Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., Carnegie Hall, Zankel Hall, 881 Seventh Ave. at 57th Street, 212-247-7800, $42.
