LONG LEGS, BIG VOICES The 17th annual Cabaret Convention, presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation and Jazz at Lincoln Center, is a weeklong festival featuring performances honoring the American Songbook. The convention opens tonight with a gala performance and reception featuring singers Barbara Carroll, Steve Ross, and KT Sullivan performing the works of Irving Berlin. Tonight, 6 p.m., Frederick P. REFLECTING LIGHT As part of its Daniel Saidenberg Faculty Recital series, the Juilliard School presents its ensemble-in-residence, the American Brass Quintet. The program includes David Sampson’s “Entrance” and a world premiere of Robert Dennis’s “Il Ritorno.” Trombonist Joseph Alessi and trumpeter Raymond Mase are featured performers.
