LOOK UP “Paint the City” is an outdoor exhibit featuring three large paintings on billboards in SoHo. Alex Katz’s “Give Me Tomorrow” is at 40 E. 4th St. and Bowery, above the B Bar; Gary Hume’s “Cheerleader” is at 55 Houston St. at Wooster Street, and Lisa Sanditz’s “Tie-Dye in the Wilderness” is at 343 Canal St. at Greene Street. The project is sponsored by Creative Time and United Technologies Corporation. Through tomorrow, free.


BIRDS ON THE BRAIN Gulls and crows are just a few of the birds on display as part of “The Ornithological Paintings of Jamie Wyeth.” It is the artist’s first major show in New York since 2000. Through Saturday, November 26, Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Adelson Galleries, the Mark Hotel, third floor, 25 E. 77th St. at Madison Avenue, 212-439-6800, free.
