HE’S HIRED The winner of the Israeli reality television show “The Ambassador,” Eytan Schwartz, is the guest at a meet-and-greet cocktail reception. Mr. Schwartz competed against 13 others for the chance to represent his country abroad with the New York advocacy group Israel at Heart. The National Jewish Democratic Council plays host and He’Brew, “The Chosen Beer,” is the drink sponsor. Tonight, 7-9 p.m., Serena Bar & Lounge, 222 W. 23rd St., between Seventh and Eighth avenues, 212-868-4048, $18 in advance, $25 at the door.
DANCING IN THE ROUND The Guggenheim presents its spring “First Fridays” series this weekend. A DJ spins records while revelers sip cocktails, dance in the rotunda, and enjoy an after-hours viewing of the museum’s exhibits, which currently include “Daniel Buren: The Eye of the Storm.” This month’s DJ is DJ Patchi. Tomorrow, 9 p.m.-1 a.m., Guggenheim Museum, 1079 Fifth Ave. at 89th Street, 212-423-3500, $15 general, free for members, cash only.
