ASKEW ARCHITECTURE Since 1989, artist Richard Greaves has been working on the development of a vast architectural environment located in a forest in the remote Beauce region of Quebec. The work is in a continuous state of expansion and is composed of about 20 shacks and shelters derived from abandoned barns Mr. Greaves disassembles and brings back to his site. The asymmetrical results resemble funhouses or setpieces from a dark children’s film. He also has built a series of sculptures from objects salvaged from the scrap heap. Swiss photographer Mario del Curto’s large photographs of Mr. Greaves’s work are on display in “Richard Greaves: Anarchitect.” The exhibit, which closes this weekend, also includes an audio environment designed by Stephane Mercier made from sounds recorded on Mr. Greaves’s site.
