FOREIGN EYES A writer on international and cultural affairs and the environment, Patwant Singh, reads, discusses, and signs copies of his book “The World According to Washington: An Asian View” (Common Courage Press). The book examines American interventions in Asia, from the Korean War to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Mr. Singh, who lives in India, is the author of eight other books including “The Sikhs” (Knopf). Between 1957 and 1988 he edited and published the magazine Design, covering the visual arts, urban planning, and the environment. He is also the founder of a hospital outside Delhi.
