O, CANADA! In conjunction with the Upper North Side Canadian Authors series, Joel Hynes reads from his debut novel, “Down to the Dirt” (Killick Press), about a young man growing up in Newfoundland. He is joined by Michael Winter, whose book “The Big Why?” (Bloomsbury) is based on the life of American landscape painter Rockwell Kent. He is joined by Kevin O’Keefe, whose book “The Average American: The Extraordinary Search for the Nation’s Most Ordinary Citizen” (Public-Affairs) documented his nationwide quest to find the most statistically average citizen.
