MISS SAIGON As part of the Writers Studio Reading Series, the downtown workshop presents Monique Truong, who reads from new work and her novel “The Book of Salt” (Mariner), about the fictional journey of two Indo-Chinese men who once cooked for Gertrude Stein and her companion, Alice B. Toklas. Members of the studio’s faculty, which includes poet Abigail Wender and writer Lucinda Holt, are featured guests.
