SURREALISM PSYCHOANALYZED
Pyschoanalyst Christine Anzieu-Premmereur joins a panel of artists to discuss the connection between dreams and symbolism in the exhibit “Surrealism USA.” Other panelists include art historian John Paoletti and painter Harriet Shorr.The Philoctetes Center for the Study of Imagination at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute is the co-sponsor. DIARY DAY
A daylong symposium examines the legacy of Anne Frank’s celebrity. Presentation topics include Frank’s “Diary of a Young Girl,” the Anne Frank house, musical adaptations of her story, and televised representations. “Mediating Anne Frank” is a presentation of New York University’s Center for Religion and Media.
