GALLERY GUIDES The art critic for The New York Sun, David Cohen, moderates “The Review Panel,” a discussion series in which critics talk about four preselected exhibitions on view in local museums and galleries. Michael Brenson of Bard College, Martha Schwendener of Artforum, and Lilly Wei of Art in America join Mr. Cohen in this week’s installment.They discuss Rachel Whiteread at Luhring Augustine and Jake Berthot at Betty Cuningham, among other shows. ON HEALTH CARE A panel discusses the impact of the American practice of se lective funding only women’s health care and HIV/AIDS programs. Known as the “global gag rule,” the 2001 policy prohibits foreign non-governmental recipients of American family planning funds from, among other things, promoting or advocating abortion. Panelists include director of the law and health program at the Open Society Institute, Jonathan Cohen; the faculty director of the Crowley Program in International Human Rights, Martin Flaherty,and a Crowley fellow in international human rights, Mehlika Hoodbhoy.
