WEDDING WOES Kathleen Warnock’s new play “Grieving for Genevieve” tells the humorous story of three sisters who convene for a wedding and form an unexpected bond while preparing for it. The production is part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival. SERIAL STAGING Axis Company presents the seventh installment of its annual Hospital series, a serial play that delves into the mind of a man in a terminal coma. In previous years, the man arrived at his near-dead state through illness, fire, and murder; this year, the culprit is avian bird flu. Randy Sharp directs. SMALL START “To One I Saw Small,” a “visual comedy,” incorporates theater, video, and elements of dance to tell the story of a jaded spelling-bee champion who finds first love with a shy guitarist. The show was written, directed, and choreographed by Cristina Septien and produced by the South Pleasant Company.
