A MOVING PLAY The New York Classical Theatre rounds out its summer season with “Scapin.” The Moliere comedy, set in Italy, follows a scheming servant who tricks two fathers out of money reserved for their respective sons. In this production, the actors (with the audience in tow) move physically from scene to scene, crossing Central Park between 103rd Street and the lake, using trees, rocks, and benches as scenery. Comfortable shoes are recommended. PHILADELPHIA STORY First produced on Broadway in 1964, Brian Friel’s “Philadelphia, Here I Come!” is the story of a young Irishman who, after a string of bad luck, accepts an invitation from his aunt to live with her in Philadelphia. The comedy, which is in previews, is directed by Ciaran O’Reilly.
