BLUE BEE The cast of the popular play “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” presents an adults-only performance with content “for mature audiences only.” The dirty bee is presented in part by the Onion. GREED IS GOOD In Moliere’s “The Miser,” an old man hoards his money, preventing his frustrated children from marrying their chosen mates.The new production, translated by Charles Heron Wall, is performed by the Jean Cocteau Repertory. REMIND ME AGAIN The new musical “I Love You Because” follows a greeting card writer, played by Colin Hanlon, who must navigate the New York dating scene after his longtime girlfriend cheats on him. The show is billed as “a gender-reversed modern day musical retelling” of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice.” Ryan Cunningham wrote the book and lyrics, and Joshua Salzman wrote the music. Daniel Kutner directs.
