A WORLD OF ONE’S OWN The Wroclaw Puppet Theater of Poland presents “The Last Escape,” a play based on the stories of Polish-Jewish writer Bruno Schultz. The performance follows the story of a pensioner who tries to escape loneliness by creating an imaginary world. TRAPPED Vincent Marano’s “A Collapse” follows the story of a girl who is trapped in a wall after a disaster. The play is directed by the playwright, and is presented by Teatro Oscuro. GREEK TRAGEDY Jean Anouilh’s French play, “Antigone,” translated and directed by the co-artistic director of QED Productions, Zander Teller, follows the tragic tale of Oedipus’s daughter in a modern setting. SELF-PROTECT TheDrillingCompaNY’s “Security2,” directed by the artistic director of the company, Hamilton Clancy, is a program of nine one-act plays about personal and national security. Represented playwrights include Justin Boyd, Yvette Sirker, and Renée Flemmings.
