SUNSET STROLL Urban preservationist and historian Joe Svehlak conducts a walking tour of Sunset Park, where he grew up in the 1940s and 1950s. Stops include buildings that were part of New York’s first large cooperative venture, started by Finnish immigrants in the early 1900s – with spectacular harbor views from a hilltop park. The tour, sponsored by the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment, concludes in Brooklyn’s Chinatown just in time for lunch. Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., meet at the corner of 43rd Street and Fourth Avenue, 45th Street station of the N/R, 718-788-8500 ext. 208, $11 general, $9 members, $8 seniors and students.
