EAST SIDE STROLL A walking tour through the Lower East Side focuses on the history of immigrants in the neighborhood. Tomorrow, 1 p.m., meet at 197 E. Broadway, between Jefferson and Clinton streets, 212-979-8013, $12 general, $10 seniors and students.
ON THE WATERFRONT The Brooklyn Historical Society offers hour-long boat tours of the borough’s “working waterfront” each Saturday this summer. Passengers enjoy views along the East River, to Brooklyn’s Fulton Ferry Landing from the South Street Seaport. Saturdays through August 27, 11 a.m. pickup at South Street Seaport, Fulton and Water streets, 11:05 a.m. pickup at Fulton Ferry Landing, the foot of Old Fulton Street, Brooklyn, 212-742-1969, $20 general, $18 members, $14 children under 12, $12 children of members.
VIEW FROM THE RIVER The Municipal Art Society leads its 14th annual summer boat tour of the East River, where over 1,000 acres of land are scheduled for redevelopment. Featured speakers include the senior vice president of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Richard Drucker, and the president of New York Audubon Society, Peter Mott. Wednesday, July 20, 6-9 p.m., Pier 83 at 42nd Street and 12th Avenue, 212-935-3960, $30 MAS members, $40 general. Note: Prices go up $5 starting tomorrow.
