URBAN GETAWAY The Central Park Conservancy sponsors the Manhattan Adirondacks tour through the North Woods of Central Park, which were originally designed to replicate the forests of the Adirondack Mountains. Saturday, 2 p.m., Central Park, meet at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center, 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox avenues, 212-360-2726, free.
WEST SIDE STORIES The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District leads “Sidewalk Surprises in Lincoln Square,” a walking tour series. The tour extends to 70th Street from Columbus Circle and highlights architectural, historic, and artistic points of interest. Saturdays through November 12, 11 a.m., meet at the Maine Monument at Merchant’s Gate across from the Columbus Circle fountain, 59th Street and Central Park West, 212-581-3774, free.
