SYDNEY — Sri Lanka’s air force bombed a base of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam used for training suicide bombers after an attack yesterday killed a government minister and at least 13 other people. The raid took place early today near Mankulam and pilots reported the target was bombed “accurately,” the Defense Ministry said on its Web site. The base was used to train members of the so-called Black Tigers, the unit used by the LTTE for suicide missions.
