* President Bush’s Election Day eve featured a six-state, seven-stop tour, mostly in the Midwest. The day began at Wilmington, Ohio, the sixth straight day of Buckeye State campaigning for Mr. Bush. He also made stops at Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa, and New Mexico yesterday before a rally at Dallas and then a night at his Crawford, Texas, ranch.
* Senator Kerry, also blanketing mostly the Midwest, visited Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, and also made it down to Orlando, Fla. Once again, rock star Bruce Springsteen joined him for an appearance, this time in Cleveland. Mr. Kerry’s rally at Milwaukee was just three blocks and one hour away from Mr. Bush’s stop in the same city.
WHERE THEY ARE TODAY
* Mr. Kerry is at La Crosse, Wis., before going to Boston to vote and have his traditional Election Day lunch at the Union Oyster House. He will remain in Boston for an election night event. Senator Edwards will be joining Mr. Kerry in Boston after appearing in Tampa and Orlando, Fla.
* President Bush, after voting in Crawford, Texas, makes a stop in Columbus, Ohio, before going on to Washington, D.C., to await election results. Vice President Cheney will vote in Wilson, Wyo., campaign in Waukesha, Wis., and then join Mr. Bush in the capital to watch the returns.
