A former New York prosecutor will see how the other half lives after being sentenced to two years in prison yesterday for having sex with underage boys.
Beth Modica, 44, was arrested in January and indicted on charges including statutory rape and sex abuse.
In April, she pleaded guilty to having sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy and performing oral sex on a 15-year-old boy at her home in Sloatsburg. Prosecutors alleged that she also provided marijuana and alcohol to the teenagers.
In addition to a two-year stay in state prison, Modica will be registered as a sex offender and receive 10 years of probation. Modica worked as an assistant district attorney in Rockland County and Queens, according to the Associated Press.
