A former Knicks vice-president, Anucha Browne Sanders, testified yesterday that coach Isiah Thomas repeatedly called her a vulgar name during business meetings. Ms. Sanders is seeking $10 million in damages on her claim that she was fired for accusing Mr. Thomas of harassment.

She said Mr. Thomas “started some sentences with the word ‘b—'” and ended with even stronger language.

The lawsuit says Ms. Browne Sanders was fired “for telling the truth” about Thomas’s vulgarity and unwanted advances. He has adamantly denied the allegations. A Madison Square Garden lawyer, Ronald Green, introduced a series of 2004–05 e-mail exchanges by Browne Sanders and various managers at the Garden, including its president, Steve Mills.
