Man Killed in Fifth Avenue Accident

Police say a man who apparently suffered a fatal heart attack while driving lost control of the vehicle and collided with three other cars in midtown Manhattan today.

Nine people were injured. The 51-year-old was traveling near Fifth Avenue when the vehicle collided with three other cars. The driver, who is not being named, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. All the other injuries are reported to be minor.

An autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death.
