Jeanine Pirro’s spiffy Web site to boost her candidacy for the Republican nomination to challenge Senator Clinton features more than 100 photos, none of which include her husband.

There’s Mrs. Pirro with singer Tony Bennett and the late actor Ossie Davis; with Republican Governors George Pataki of New York and Arnold Schwarzenegger of California; Mrs. Pirro with Democrats including Robert Kennedy Jr. and Al Sharpton, and Mrs. Pirro with her mother and her kindergarten teacher. There’s even a picture of Mrs. Pirro with a monkey.

But there are none showing the Westchester County district attorney with her husband, Albert, the lawyer lobbyist who is viewed as a possible campaign liability for, among other things, his 11 months spent in federal prison on a tax-fraud conviction.

“This campaign is about Jeanine Pirro and her experience, qualifications, and willingness to serve as New York’s full-time senator,” Mrs. Pirro’s campaign spokesman, Michael McKeon, said, when asked yesterday about why the prosecutor’s husband wasn’t included in the “photo gallery” of the Web site – www.jeaninepirro.com.

There’s also no mention of Albert Pirro on the biography posted on the Web site. Mrs. Clinton’s campaign Web site – www.hillaryclinton.com – offers a “photo album” with 15 different slides. Nine of them show the former first lady with her husband.

“The difference is – in New York State, certainly – President Clinton has big numbers,” a veteran Democratic strategist, Hank Sheinkopf, said. “In New York State, no one knows who Al Pirro is and, frankly, very few people know who Jeanine Pirro is.”

Mr. Sheinkopf, who worked on President Clinton’s successful re-election campaign, said that while Mrs. Pirro’s aides are legitimately trying to keep the focus on her with the Web site, they are also likely seeking to keep her husband in the background. “At some point, they’re going to have to address the Albert problem,” Mr. Sheinkopf said.
