Police arrested a suspect early this morning for attempting to burglarize a church in midtown Manhattan, police officials said.
The suspect, who police did not identify, was caught inside St. Francis of Assisi Church at about 1 a.m. after he had broken in through a second-floor stain glass window, police said.
Police are charging the suspect with burglary and criminal mischief.
