Police are searching for a group of men involved in a fatal shooting at a subway station in Astoria early yesterday morning. The victim, 19-year-old Jose Sierra of the Bronx, was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the mezzanine level of the 31st Street and Broadway station at around 1:15 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said four to five Hispanic men were scene fleeing the scene after the shooting. A wallet containing cash was found in Sierra’s pocket, indicating that the shooting may not have been an attempted robbery. Police said they did not yet have a motive.
