Police are searching for a suspect that robbed a bank in Brooklyn Heights at gunpoint earlier this week, police officials said.
The suspect, who was armed with a silver handgun, robbed a Washington Mutual Bank at 9 DeKalb Ave. at about 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.
Described as black male in his 60s wearing dark sunglasses, the suspect first passed an envelope to the teller, police said. He then showed the teller his weapon before threatening to use it, police said.
It is unclear how much money the man stole, police said.
The police department is asking anyone who may have information about the crime to call (800) 577-TIPS.
