Quinn To Speak At Lutheran Medical Gala

The speaker of the City Council, Christine Quinn, is set to deliver the opening remarks at the Lutheran Family Health Centers gala dinner this week.
The dinner, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the health network’s founding site, the Sunset Park Family Health Center, is set to take place October 12 at the Brooklyn Marriott.
The dinner will honor Lutheran Medical Center’s president emeritus, George Adams; the chief executive officer of Hoboken University Medical Center and a previous senior administrator at Lutheran, Harvey Holzberg; Senator Menendez of New Jersey, and Rep. Nydia Velazquez, who represents parts of Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
Lutheran Family Health Centers operates nine sites and 14 school-based health centers. The network treats 600,000 patients annually, and provides primary care to 95,000 individuals.
