ALBANY — Acting State Police Superintendent Preston Felton is resigning.
Mr. Felton, a 26-year veteran, says in a statement he’ll retire April 4. Governor Paterson’s office declined to comment on a possible replacement. Mr. Felton declined to be interviewed. Next in command is the State Police field commander, Colonel Pedro Perez.
