A man is suing Tower Records, claiming a knife-wielding store employee chased and stabbed him last March.

Jeffrey Santana says in court papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that he was shopping in the Tower Records near Lincoln Center when employee Steven Chavez attacked him.

“Jeffrey Santana never consented to being stabbed with a knife,” the papers say.

Mr. Santana suffers as a result of the encounter from “emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and personal injuries,” the papers say.

Mr. Chavez couldn’t be reached for comment, and a woman who answered the chain’s phone in Sacramento said no one could comment because “the main office is disintegrating this week.” Tower Records entered bankruptcy in 2004.
