Two Men Arrested For Shooting of Boy

Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old boy who was shot earlier this week on the Lower East Side.

William Adanes, 19, and Ricardo Martinez, 23, were taken in yesterday morning and charged with crimes related to the shooting of Vincent Cruz. Police found Cruz on Tuesday morning on Eldridge Street near Rivington Street, shot once in the head. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Bellevue Hospital.

Mr. Adanes is being charged with gang assault and manslaughter while Mr. Martinez is being charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon. Both men are residents of Brooklyn.
