Wal-Mart Recalls Bibs Said To Contain Lead

Wal-Mart removed baby bibs containing dangerously high levels of lead from store shelves nationwide yesterday, a store official told the Associated Press.
The Baby Connection bibs, constructed from PVCs, had already been removed from Wal-Marts in New York, California, and Illinois on March 29 after a study conducted by the New York attorney general’s office.
Wal-mart agreed to stop selling all bibs made from PVCs as soon as possible, the New York attorney general’s office said.
Lead poisoning can cause neurological damage, delayed mental and physical development, learning disabilities, and hearing problems.
