The Drawing Center, a small museum on Wooster Street that is considering a move to South Street Seaport, held a benefit auction last week to support exhibitions. With Simon de Pury egging them on, guests bid on works by artists such as Marcel Dzama, Arturo Herrera, Shin il Kim, and Garth Weisier. Other artists who attended included Francesca DiMattio, who had a show at Salon 94 this fall, and Natalie Frank, whose work, “Voilà Les Americains,” will be on view at the Mitchell-Innes & Nash booth during the Art Basel Miami Beach fair. The co-chairwomen of the event were Stacey Goergen, Iris Marden, Jane Dresner Sadaka, and Candace Worth. The works of Eleanore Mikus and Christine Taylor Patten are currently on view at the Center; in February, a show of 14 artists explores the theme of levity.
