It’s early yet in 2007, but Gracie Mansion Conservancy’s annual benefit Monday has my vote as the best party of the year. It was intimate, with 210 guests, took place in an extremely rare city venue, a historic house, and featured the culinary prowess of chefs from all over the city (please see my blog for the full menu, along with names of some of the notables who enjoyed it). At dinner, the charming host, the mayor, visited each table before two of Broadway’s darlings, Sutton Foster and Marc Kudisch, performed. Those associated with the event are fortunate indeed. The conservancy raised $575,000.
