New York’s Dreamgirls
It was flashback time in New York Tuesday night. At the Gramercy Park Hotel, actress Sienna Miller held court at a private dinner party to celebrate her new film, “Factory Girl,” about Andy Warhol’s life in the 1960s. Downtown, designer Lisa Perry had a party to launch her new 1960s-inspired collection.
Ms. Perry, for her part, was thinking about the near future. “I could dress somebody for the Oscars. Maybe the young Japanese girl in ‘Babel,'” she said, referring to 26-year-old Rinko Kikuchi. This reporter mused that Ms. Miller, or any of the stars of “Dreamgirls,” would also be good matches.
“But they’re probably all committed,” Ms. Perry said.
Somehow it didn’t seem like such a far-off possibility, as Harvey Weinstein, the executive producer of “Factory Girl,” admired the women wearing Lisa Perry.
