Tyronn Lue scored eight of his 32 points in overtime to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 139-135 win over the Knicks last night in the NBA’s highest scoring game this season.

Josh Smith scored 19 of his 21 points after halftime, and Josh Childress added 22 points and Boris Diaw had 20 for the Hawks, who won for the fourth time on the road this season.

Stephon Marbury had 31 points and nine assists before fouling out in overtime, and Jamal Crawford added 31 points for the Knicks, including a 3-pointer in overtime that cut the lead to 137-135.

Lue’s 3-pointer with 19.7 seconds left put Atlanta up 132-127, and Marbury fouled out with 11.6 seconds left to put Childress at the line for a pair of free throws that put Atlanta up 135-129.

Tim Thomas then hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 135-132, but Childress was fouled and hit two more free throws.

Crawford then hit a 3-pointer with 6 seconds left and the Knicks fouled Boris Diaw with 1.9 seconds left. He hit both and the Knicks didn’t manage another shot.

Smith kept the Hawks in it late in regulation, drawing Michael Sweetney’s sixth foul with a spin move and then rebounding his own missed free throw and juking Trevor Ariza for a layup that tied the score at 116.

Kurt Thomas hit a short jumper, but Smith drew another foul and made two free throws that tied the game at 118 with 30 seconds left.
