Two tournament surprises take center stage today inside Arthur Ashe Stadium, as France’s Mary Pierce tries to score another upset against no. 3 seed Amelie Mauresmo and Robby Ginepri looks to add the speedy Guillermo Coria to the list of men he has outlasted.
The night session, however, is when the real fireworks begin, as Lindsay Davenport sets her sights on the semifinals against the hard-hitting, soft-serving Elena Dementieva. Then two gentlemen named Agassi and Blake close the evening with their much awaited quarterfinal contest.
