Family and friends can then contribute toward the cost of the trip, with the details of the honeymoon remaining confidential. The newlyweds receive a handwritten card along with a personal message from the gift giver. A possible Thailand itinerary pampers the celebrants at the Amanpuri in Phuket, the Four Seasons Resort in Chiang Mai, and the Oriental in Bangkok, for $6,545 per person. CHILDE HASSAM IN CONNECTICUT
Been to the Childe Hassam retrospective at the Metropolitan Museum and still not had enough? In Connecticut, three museums also pay homage to the artist and his output in the Nutmeg State. In Cos Cob, Hassam captured the play of sunlight over boats, barns, and old houses. He also painted in East Lyme, and the show there includes works from private collections. Hartford’s Atheneum focuses on Hassam’s influence on the style of fellow Connecticut impressionists.
