Amtrak is offering the “Florida Recovery Program,” a 20% discount on travel between New York and Florida, until October 28 on its “Silver Service” and “Auto Train.”


“People are looking to travel to Florida, either to help with the recovery efforts or to bring much-needed tourism dollars back to the state,” said Barbara Richardson of Amtrak. “We want everyone to know that Amtrak is up and running in Florida, and we’re doing our part to bring people back to the Sunshine State,” she said.

American members of the British Air ways Executive Club, the air line’s frequent flyer program, can test the airline’s London-bound “Best Sleep Guarantee” now through December 31 when they fly “Club World,” the airline’s business class.


British Airways’ business class seats adjust electronically from a fully upright armchair to a completely flat, 6-foot-long bed. Anyone not satisfied with their sleep on the flight can fill out a short online survey and receive a free future upgrade to First Class.
