CRUISES
Having trouble finding a cabin on a popular cruise line? CruiseCompete.com has introduced a new service, SoldOutShips, to help. Since travel agencies commonly buy blocks of cabins on the most popular sailings (often at a discount), they occasionally have unadvertised inventory available. Through SoldOutShips, would-be passengers simply visit the Web site to review available listings, click on the cruise they’d like to travel on, submit a “Quick Quote Request,” and wait to receive e-mail from travel agencies. From there, they can compare cruise offers and phone the agency to arrange a booking. More than 100 top cruise aggregators have teamed with CruiseCompete to list cabin inventory.
