CAPE COD

What better place is there to cool off over the summer than Cape Cod? The Dan’l Webster Inn, a classic Cape hostelry in Sandwich, Mass., opened a full-service spa last year and has created a summer Cranberry Spa Package to help guests discover it. The package includes overnight accommodations in a deluxe room, a $60 meal voucher (the inn has two noted restaurants), a cranberry gift basket upon arrival, and three spa treatments, two of which leverage the antioxidant power of the humble cranberry: a Cranberry Enyzme Facial Peel and Cranberry Rose Sugar Scrub. Both conclude with a refreshing glass of cranberry juice. A 55-minute relaxation massage and spa service gratuity is also included in the package price, which starts at $615 a person a night based on double occupancy.

LONDON

For those who want to go beyond the annual last-minute ritual of buying flowers and a card, British Airways’ Mother’s Day Package is a more exciting gift for Mom. Starting at $499 from New York, it includes roundtrip airfare to London, three nights at the three-star Comfort Inn Kensington with continental breakfast daily, a L10 Harrods shopping voucher, and afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason, the luxury department store and food purveyor. The package must be booked by June 3, 2005, and all travel must be completed by July 31, 2005 (the base price is for travel through May 29). Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Visit www.britishairways.com for more details.

MONGOLIA

From crystal blue Lake Hovsgol in the north to the vast Gobi Desert in the south, and sprawling grasslands in between, Mongolia is land of largely undiscovered natural wonders. Nomadic Expeditions’ Mongolian Vistas Tour takes all this in along with the stunning Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and Kharakhorum, seat of the 13th-century Mongol Empire and home to the ancient ruins of the Erdenezuu monastery. Tours run from June 1-June 15 and July 20-August 3 and start at $2,980 a person based on double occupancy (with accommodations at hotels and ger camps), and include domestic flights. For the more adventurous, there’s also a Mongolian “Yak to Kayak” tour.
