Artistic Director Resigns from Art Basel

Cay Sophie Rabinowitz has resigned from her position as artistic director of Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach, MCH Swiss Exhibition (Holding) Ltd., which stages the fairs, announced yesterday.
Ms. Rabinowitz will be replaced by Annette Schönholzer, formerly director of operations and finance, and Marc Spiegler, formerly director of strategy and development. The two will serve as co-directors of Art Basel Miami Beach and Art Basel, which takes place June 4-8 in Switzerland.
Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach are perhaps the most important international art shows for modern and contemporary works and have been called the Olympics of the art world.
