DOMESTIC DISAPPOINTMENTS
Paintings by Megan Foster are on display in “Reliable Disappointment.” She depicts lived-in domestic vignettes – a half-filled bathtub, an exercise bicycle facing a TV – without the homes’ presumed inhabitants. In the gallery’s outdoor space, Tom Kotik’s interactive sound sculpture “OUT (maximum volume)” greets visitors as a simple box; once opened, a loud stream of music is released. Through Monday, June 6, Friday-Monday, noon-6 p.m., Black & White Gallery, 483 Driggs Ave., between North 9th and North 10th streets, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 718-599-8775, free.
