SURFING SAFARI Leroy Grannis’s photographs of the nascent surf culture during the 1960s and 1970s are on display at Bonni Benrubi Gallery. Along with the expected spectacular waves, he captures surfers out of the water, strolling the beach and posing with their colorful boards. EARTH FIRST The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition presents the Earth Art Show, with more than 300 artists exhibiting and selling earth-themed artwork, including sculptures, paintings, and photographs.
