ROCKET FUEL
An auction of space memorabilia includes Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo XI navigational chart that traveled with him to the moon; an exposed piece of tape has some lunar dust stuck to it (est. $35,000-$45,000). Other highlights: an 8-by-11-inch American flag carried to the moon by Apollo XIV (est. $10,000-$12,000) and flown space food – bread cubes and cocoa mix – from the Apollo XIII mission ($1,000-$1,200 for the bread, $1,200-$1,500 for the cocoa).
