TWO WORLDS The reading series Novel Jews presents an evening with Dara Horn, whose upcoming novel “The World To Come” (Norton) begins with the theft of a Chagall painting from a museum during a singles’ cocktail hour. She is the winner of the 2003 National Jewish Book Award. VAUDEVILLE AT THE PALACE The author of “No Applause – Just Throw Money: The Book That Made Vaudeville Famous” (Faber & Faber), Trav S.D., reads from and discusses his account of vaudeville’s history. The event also includes a tour of the historic Palace Theatre, a former vaudeville house. Tickets include a signed copy of the book. ON THE GATES Artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude sign copies of their newest book on “The Gates” project. “The Gates, Central Park, New York City, 1979-2005” is a limited edition volume of 5,000 copies, signed and dated by the artists. ON COACHING David Halberstam reads from and discusses his new book, “The Education of a Coach” (Hyperion). It explores the game tactics and successes of the New England Patriots’ coach, Bill Belichick, the only head coach in NFL history to win three Super Bowl championships during a four-year span.
