PLAYGROUND PALS Two playground parties benefit the Central Park Conservancy’s “Playground Partners” program, which raises funds to keep the park’s 21 playgrounds clean and safe. The festive family mix includes live music, food, and magic. East Side party: Tomorrow, 5-7:30 p.m., James Michael Levin Playground, Fifth Avenue at 76th Street. West Side party: Wednesday, May 25, 5-7:30 p.m., Spector Playground, Central Park West at 85th Street. Both: 212-310-6617, $80 general, $45 children.
TIME FOR DESIGN Cooper-Hewitt presents a design festival for families. Attendees can enjoy a clock-making workshop, architectural tours of the Carnegie Mansion and environs, music, and storytelling. Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden, 2 E. 91st St., between Fifth and Madison avenues, 212-849-8349, $20 general, $15 members’ children, free for one accompanying adult, $10 additional adults. Rain date: Sunday.
