NEW YORK’S FINEST The New York City Police Museum hosts its first Family Day, complete with demonstrations by NYPD special units. Children can also have their pictures taken in a police uniform, and vintage NYPD patrol cars are on display. McGruff the Crime Dog, a “secret” superhero, and a clown will distribute balloons, fake tattoos, popcorn, and cotton candy. KNIGHTS AND MAIDENS The Medieval Festival arrives at Fort Tryon Park with authentic music, dance, magic, minstrels, jugglers, and jesters. In the afternoon, four knights joust on horseback. Sunday, noon-6 p.m., the Cloisters, Fort Tryon Park, Margaret Corbin Circle and Fort Washington Avenue, 212-795-1600, free.
